This discount is often more rewarding than a maximum bonus of 9 years +.

As NATO Specialists we don’t charge you more as long as you have a valid driving licence, and we can validate it and its either an EU Licence or a driving licence issued from a NATO member state or one in the commonwealth.

Auto Insurance policies in the UK, usually last 12 months.

When you leave, we will happily cancel your policy, refund any unused insurance (subject to no claims being made) and even waive any cancellation fees as your going home. We will also provide a certificate of any claim free driving so you can pass this to your new insurer.

In the UK vehicles are categorised into groups ranging from 1-50 based on factors like engine size, power, and the cost of repairs etc, Auto insurance prices increase with each car group.

Often referred to as a “Deductible” The excess is the amount that you, the policyholder, are responsible for in the event of a claim. The total excess is made up of two parts: voluntary and compulsory. Compulsory excess is the minimum excess set by the insurer and is shown in your policy documents. Voluntary excess is chosen by you and is in addition to your compulsory excess.

Yes, as standard a Courtesy car is provided, please note a Courtesy car can only be provided if your car is being repaired. If the vehicle is deemed a total loss (Write off) or is stolen a courtesy car is not provided. You can purchase Guaranteed Vehicle Hire Insurance starting from just £20.00 we can provide you a hire car for up to 28 days or up to 3 days after you have received settlement from your insurers.

NATO Personnel Motor Insurance

We can assist any British personnel as long as the vehicle is being registered on a NATO approved licencing authority.

In Germany it’s the BFG VLO and in Belgium it’s the SHAPE Licencing Authority.

Depending on your status in Belgium, you may need to register your vehicle with the local Belgian authority. If you are unsure please check this with UK Delegation.

Unfortunately, as a foreign Insurer we can under SoFA regulations are only able to insure our own citizens in another NATO nation. The rules allow any British citizen or  any “entitled” persons to be insured by us.

We would strongly advise caution. Green Card/EU cover offered by UK insurers is dependent on you being a UK resident and under the territorial limits part of the contract exclude cover if your not resident in the UK.

More importantly UK insurers don’t have the claims infrastrucure to assist you and in the event of a claim, will look to ship your vehicle to the UK where any collection will be at your expense.

Not always – you have to appreciate claims costs are much higher in the EU, so any premium has to reflect this.

We can say with confidence that we price as fair as possible and to compare premiums they need to done fairly and compared against what local insurers charge not what you pay in the UK.

Your free to choose your own Insurance provision.  There are some significant differences between a UK insurer and EU insurers.  We would recommend that when comparing you not just compare price but compare levels of cover.  The only area which should be given a bit more attention is regulation.  As a British citizen you may not qualify for the EU compensation schemes as the Brexit trade deal did not extend to Financial Services.  As a UK regulated firm you have the confidence that not only are you dealing with a FCA authorised firm you are automatically enrolled into the Financial Ombudsman Service and the Financial Services Compensation Scheme in the event things go wrong.  Giving you that extra peace of mind.

Travel

Military & Standard Travel Insurance

Unlike something like Car insurance, travel insurance is not a legal requirement. It can help you recover costs it’s a small price to pay for peace of mind should something happen to ruin your holiday. Even at the most basic level, travel insurance can help cover the costs or reimburse you if
• You fall ill or are injured while you’re away
• Your possessions are lost, damaged or stolen
• Your trip is cancelled or abandoned for a specified reason

The main two types of travel insurance are single trip and annual cover (also known as Multi-Trip) single trip cover will provide protection for one trip, whereas annual policies can cover multi trips within one year. Whilst single trip policies can be cheaper than annual trips if you are planning several trips in a year the annual cover might offer you better value, we would recommend you look at both options.

Different travel insurance policies will provide different levels of cover, it’s important to check the levels of cover to ensure you have adequate cover. Our travel policies will cover in the case you’re injured or fall ill, if your holiday is cancelled or if your luggage or belongings are lost or stolen.

We recommend travel insurance should be arranged as soon as you’ve booked your trip. That way, if your policy includes cancellation cover you will be able to claim.

Curtailment cover can help reimburse you if you are forced to cut your trip short. Your policy will cover specific reasons for this, usually the same as those allowed as part of cancellation cover.

Travel insurance will cover you if you have to cancel or cut your holiday short in the UK due to illness, usually medical treatment in the UK is not covered due to the fact we have the NHS which is free to all.

We will cover virtually all pre-existing medical conditions, including asthma, arthritis, diabetes, heart conditions, cancer, and even a terminal prognosis – at all ages – we will ensure you get the right insurance at the best price.

When you get an online quote for travel insurance we will ask you if you are going on a cruise. Please click ‘Yes’, and we will include cruise cover in your selection of quotes.

Our single trip policies have no upper age limit, our annual multi-trip policies have an upper age limit of 79.
