Across the UK & Europe our breakdown cover is there to support you should your vehicle if you are unable to start or complete your journey without assistance.

Get cover at home included as standard – 1 in 3 breakdowns happen at home. Other providers charge you extra for home cover. With Forces Solutions it’s included as standard.

Traveling to/Stationed in Europe?

Having European breakdown cover in place will ensure you could get your car repaired at the side of the road or at a local garage if you run into trouble. In more serious cases, if your vehicle needs to be brought back to your country of residence.

Without the right cover in place, if you were to break down on your travels, you could find yourself forking out for the expense of having your car towed to a local garage and repaired or even bringing it back to your country of residence.

With Solutions Rescue all UK cover available is extended to cover Europe.

Replacement Driver Cover Included - If the only driver in the insured vehicle is certified as medically unfit to drive during a trip/journey, we will arrange and cover the cost for a chauffeur to drive or transport the insured vehicle to a single destination that you choose.

Roadside Assistance – up to 1 hour of labour costs at the roadside to try and repair the fault. If we can’t repair it, we’ll take the vehicle & you to the nearest available repairer within 20 miles of the breakdown.

Messaging Service - Phone someone to let them know what’s happened

Misfuelling cover - for draining and flushing the incorrect type of fuel in the vehicle and adding 10 litres of the correct fuel.

Lost Keys cover- taking the vehicle & you to a local repairer or where the spare keys are.

Alternative Travel - If our Recovery Operator is unable to repair your vehicle within the same working day or a period agreed by you and our Rescue Coordinator, we will pay up to £250.00 (maximum) towards the reasonable cost of alternative transport or a hire vehicle.

Emergency Overnight Accommodation – If we decide that alternative accommodation is required we will cover up to £75.00 per person for 1 night.

DO I NEED BREAKDOWN COVER?

Which Breakdown Cover is Right for me?

Breakdown cover can also be refered to as breakdown recovery or roadside recovery. Please check if you already have this kind of cover as banks can include this as part of a packaged bank acount. Also many manufactors can include this cover as part of a purchase benefit or if you service your vehicle with the garage.

Sometimes the cover included can be basic cover and not include the additional covers such as home assistance.

If you are stationed overseas on a NATO posting any UK based breakdown cover may not be suitable as the policy will only cover those resident in the UK and any European cover is restricted to those visiting Europe rather than those residing in Europe.

Unlike other providers where there are multiple options which can get confusing we have made our options simple.

If you are resident in the UK and do not travel to Europe then the Solutions Rescue Gold is suitable for you.

If you are resident in the UK and travel to Europe or plan to travel to Europe then the Solutions Rescue Diamond is suitable for you as this provides you with up to 90 days consequitve cover.

If you are stationed in Europe deployed on a NATO operation in either Belguim or Germany and require unlimited EU cover then the NATO rescue is suitable for you as this provides unlmited EU cover and up to 90 days UK consequtive cover.

What is not covered?

Any claims within the first 24 hours after the policy start date. This does not apply to any renewing policies.
The costs of parts required to get you back on the road
Any resultant damage or failure of any parts caused by having the wrong fuel
Any repairing, replacing, or re-programming of keys to replace lost keys.
Breakdowns due to frost damage or failure to maintain the vehicle which leads to insufficient oil, coolant, or other fluids (excluding fuel).
Any penalty/parking/congestion/emission charges or fines.

How many callouts am I covered for?

We offer unlimited callouts for each insured vehicle.

Does Solutions Rescue provide cover for electric vehicles?

Yes, we provide electric vehicle breakdown insurance to EV drivers across the UK and Europe, using our vast network of well-trained, experienced recovery operatives.

Am I covered in any car?

No, unfortunately we only offer cover for vehicles. That means any driver driving your vehicle subject to them having your permission to drive is covered.

Who is eligible for Breakdown Cover?

Cover is available to any UK resident who is permanetly resident. Any NATO vistor in the UK on a NATO deployment including USF (US Forces) and any customers stationed in Germany/Belgium/Netherlands on a NATO Deployment.

What happens if I replace my car during the period of cover?

Your cover is a fixed term policy either starting at the same time as your motor insurance policy or the start date if bought mid-term. We can change the vehicle over for you. To action this please call us +44 (0) 116 4735473 or email info@forcessolutions.co.uk we will require the make, model, registration number of the new vehicle. There are no charges with changing your breakdown cover.

Am I covered immediately when I purchase cover?

Cover starts from the start date, please check your schedule for confirmation. Breakdowns within the first 24 hours will not be covered. This does not apply to policies at renewal.

Am I covered for a flat tyre?

Yes, we recommend you carry either a spare tyre or a puncture repair kit. If you are towing a vehicle please remember to carry a spare tyre or a puncture repair kit for the towing vehicle.

If I breakdown, how quickly will someone attend to me?

We aim to attend to you as quickly as possible. Times can vary on a number of factors such as adverse weather conditions, road conditions.

Can I cancel my Breakdown Cover?

Yes, you can cancel the policy at anytime. If the policy is cancelled within the first 14 days subject to no claim(s) we will refund the premium in full.

The 14-day period applies to new policies and the renewing of existing policies.

After the 14-day period any cancellation will provide no refund.

If your motor insurance policy is cancelled the breakdown policy will also be cancelled as we do not offer stand alone breakdown policies.
